The short version: we don't collect your data
Everything you write in DoubtFree is stored on your device. There's no account, no server, and no one on our end can read your entries.
What DoubtFree stores
Your proofs, their dates and tags, any photos or voice notes you attach, and your app settings (like reminder times) are saved locally on your device. This information never leaves your device unless you choose to share it.
What the app collects
Nothing. The DoubtFree app doesn't require an account, doesn't use analytics or advertising tools, and doesn't send your data to us or anyone else.
This website
The DoubtFree website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other sites, and doesn't collect personal information. We only see totals, like which pages get visited and which sites sent people here.
Photos and voice notes
If you add a photo or record a voice note, it's saved on your device with that entry. DoubtFree only asks for access to your photos or microphone when you choose to use those features, and nothing is uploaded.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, they're scheduled on your device. No notification data is sent to a server.
Widgets
Widgets read your proofs from a shared space on your own device so they can display them. That data stays on your device.
Sharing
When you share a proof as an image, the image is created on your device. Where it goes after that is up to you and is covered by the privacy policy of whatever app you share it to.
Backups
Your proofs may be included in your device's iCloud or computer backups, which are managed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
Children
DoubtFree doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it doesn't collect personal information at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. If a future version of DoubtFree ever collects data, this page will say exactly what and why before that happens.
